Simba Part Ways With Coach Pablo Franco

Tanzania Premier League side Simba Sports Club has parted ways with head coach Pablo Franco Martin the club has confirmed.

Through the club Chief Executive officer (CEO), Barbara Gonzalez, in a statement on the club’s official portal, both parties decided to part ways on mutual consent.

“Simba Sports Club has reached an agreement to mutually part ways with our head coach Pablo Franco Martin,” the statement noted.

Apart from firing Franco, the club confirmed that fitness coach Daniel de Castro Reyes has been relived his duties.

Tanzania international Suleiman Matola, who has been serving as Franco’s assistant, has been named the caretaker coach.

Pablo was appointed as Simba coach in December 2021, replacing Didier Gomes Da Rosa following the club’s elimination om round 32 of the CAF African Champions league.

Franco holds a UEFA Pro License and at one time worked under Julen Lopetegui in 2018 at Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Simba currently sits second on the Tanzania Mainland Premier League table with 51 points from 25 games.
