South Africa coach Broos Promises To Inject New Players In Bafana Squad

South Africa national team head coach Hugo Broos has hinted on  bringing new players to the Bafana Bafana squad when he names his squad for November camp.

The Belgian gaffer made the promise despite his charges going past Sierra Leone and Botswana in two international friendlies that were played during the past FIFA international matches widow.

In their second match that was played on Tuesday, South Africa beat Botswana 1-0 but Broos was not impressed with some of his players, whose display was below par.

“You know what I said, I’m not satisfied with what I saw and I think things are clear that there’s players who are not able to bring what you need at this level,” Broos said as per iDiski.

Teboho Mokoena scored the lone goal for Bafana against Botswana in a match that was played at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

South Africa’s  win came just four days after Broos’ charges comfortably beat Sierra Leone 4-0 in another friendly international played at the same venue on Saturday.

“I’m very sorry it’s like that, so this game [against Botswana] was very interesting for us, to see all those players who didn’t play so much in the past, to see them once in a whole game, so that means that we should take that in account for the next selection.

“It’s a pity for those players but those players won’t be with us anymore in November.”

South Africa fielded against Botswana, including Sibongiseni Mthethwa of Stellenbosch FC, Kaizer Chiefs’ Ashley Du Preez, former junior international Khanyisa Mayo and on-form Golden Arrows flying winger Pule Mmodi, who all made their senior national team debuts.
