Nigeria national team head coach Gernot Rohr believes that the current crop of players can emulate the class of 2013 by winning the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be staged in Cameroon.
The Franco-German says he has seen enough of his boys to convince him that Super Eagles can somehow pull a rabbit out of the hat and win a forth Afcon title that will for the first time feature 24 nations.

Nigeria automatically qualified to the next year’s continental showpiece with a game to spare after missing the last two editions, and Rohr believes everything is possible with good preparations.
“I think we have the chance because we have a young team which can improve and if we have a good preparation and hope that we have fit players and don’t miss our key players then we can have a good chance in Cameroon,” Rohr concluded.
Super Eagles booked a place in Cameroon after playing out a 1-1 draw in Johannesburg against South Africa, a result that guarantees the team qualification having picked up 10 points from a possible 15.
In their last match of the Group E, they will face Seychelles in a fight finish top of the group, ahead of South Africa and Libya who will be battling for second qualification ticket in March next year.
