Top Scorer Diagne Snubbed from Turkish Super Lig Best 11

Despite being the league’s highest goal-getter, league experts still didn’t find the need to hand Senegal international Mbaye Diagne a spot in their season’s best eleven.

Diagne plundered in twenty-eight goals, eleven of those from the spot-kick.

His returns prompted Galatasaray to part with €10m to secure his services from Kasimpasa, netting eight times in the last eight straight outings.

But experts at the Turkish FA still found Mbaye not good enough to lead their line in the season’s best eleven selection, preferring to hand Besiktas’ Burak Yilmaz the forward position who is on sixteen goals and behind the African in the golden boot race.

While reason behind this move is unexplained for now, experts also didn’t deem any of Galatasary’s player’s fit enough to be named in their roster despite occupying the second-place slot in the league standings.
