Township Rollers Appoint Portuguese Coach Sergio Traguil

Botswana Premier League side Township Rollers have announced the appointment of Portuguese trainer Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil as their new head coach.

Tanguil has signed a two-year deal with the club replacing Thabo ”Mahala” Motang who was recently shown the door after a series of poor results.

“He [Traguil] will be joined in the technical team by Eduardo Lazaro Ramon Leiva from Croatia as a Performance Analyst,” Rollers’ statement reads.

Traguil started his coaching career at Benfica where he was in charge of the club’s youth teams before joining Kaduna United in Nigeria.

He also handled Hearts of Oak in Ghana for some six years ago and his most recent job was with Singida Big Stars in Tanzania.

Tanguil’s first match in charge of Popa will be a Botswana Premier League clash against Prisons on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Township Rollers are currently in the fourth position on the Botswana Premier League table having garnered 18 points from nine matches.
