TP Mazembe lethal striker Jackson Muleka has come out strongly to deny reports linking him with a move to Al Ahly.

Rumours had it that the forward has been approached by the Cairo giants but he insists he has not received any offer.

“All the statements published by some websites and blogs are false and do not come from me. I have never given an interview to any media about leaving Mazembe at the end of this season,” Muleka told Mazembe’s official portal as translated from French.

“I also did not confirm to an agent or a journalist that I have signed a pre-contract with Al Ahly. Currently, I am at my residence where I am going through this difficult time like any other person as COVID-19 has paralyzed all the activities. If it is necessary to speak of a departure, the management of my club is well placed to do so.”

Muleka was reported to have signed a pre-contract with the Red Devils who were ready to fork out £800 000 in June.

The 20-year-old was very instrumental in making sure TP Mazembe qualified to the last eight of the CAF Champions League before they were eliminated by Raja Casablanca of Morocco.

The Ecofoot Katumbi Academy graduate scored seven of the 11 goals that the Ravens scored at the group phase of the annual continental club competition.

Muleka enjoyed an impressive campaign before football was suspended with 15 goals and seven assists in 20 Congolese top league games.

The youngster was the league’s top goal scorer last season with 24 goals and he looks like to match and break his own record this year.
