Ugandan Midfielder Joins Top-Flight Club In Zambia

Ugandan midfielder Hashim Sempala has landed a new club in Zambia after leaving Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC.

The 25-year-old has officially completed a move to Zambian Super League side Kabwe Warriors, who finished fourth last season.

Sempala was unveiled on Thursday evening and has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the Zambian outfit.

The midfielder was impressive for the side scoring two goals in 20 appearances in the ongoing FKF Premier League season.

“Kabwe Warriors Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Ugandan Midfielder Hashim Sempala,”said the Zambian club.

Sempala spent six years at Tusker FC, where he managed to rack up 105 appearances for the club.

The Jinja-born player was previously linked with a move to Australian Bundesliga outfit Rapid Viena but the move failed to materialize with the Ugandan opting for move to Zambia.

The Kampala University alumni started his career in his native Uganda where he featured for BUL FC, Uganda Revenue Authority and Express FC before joined Tusker in 2016.
