The Portuguese manager has left out Porto B striker Vincent Aboubakar for the international friendly against the Carthage Eagles set to be played on October 12 in Rades.
Aboubakar has struggled for playing time at his club in Portugal due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The 27-year-old forward, who scored the Indomitable Lions’ winning goal in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, failed to make to this year’s tournament after he was surprisingly omitted by former coach Clearance Seedorf despite his good form at that time.
Iconic goalkeeper Idris Kameni has also been omitted, same as defender Yaya Banana, midfielder Olivier Boumal and strikers Jacques Zoua, Njie Clinton and Joel Tagueu who featured at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Jean Armel Kana-Biyik, who also featured in this year’s continental football showpiece, is also absent from the squad.
The 30-year-old defender announced an end to his international career at the weekend, saying he wants to focus on his club commitments with Turkish Super Lig side Gazisehir Gaziantep.
There are three uncapped players in Conceicao’s squad, including 20-year-old attacker Ganago Ignatius who turns for Franc-based outfit OGC Nice, along with St. Etienne defender Moukoudi Harold and Simon Omossola of Coton Sport of Garoua.
Established names such as the Adre Onana, Christian Bassogog, Toko Ekambi and Fai Collins are in the squad.
