Senegalese league champions Generation Foot’s captain Djibril Thiawlaw Diaw has talked tough ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Egyptian giants Sporting Zamalek.

Zamalek, three-time African champions, are due to touch down in Dakar to engage hosts Generation Foot in a CAF Champions League qualifier.

And 20-year-old Diaw, who will be spurring his side, is confident pressure will be up on the visitors, insisting they aren’t afraid of The White Knights.

“I can assure you that we are not afraid. Certainly, it is clear and clear that Zamalek with its profile is widely favoured for the two-legged confrontation. We will have nothing to lose therefore everything to gain during these two meetings,” he says.

He continued: “It will remain a football game despite the great quality and experience of the team on our way. Zamalek is (one of) the best in continental football, everyone logically put them as favourites so they will have pressure. We will play our football.”

The Dakar-based outfit is a revered academy in Africa and a feeder club to French Ligue 1 side Metz.
