We Have To Do the Job at Home, Harambee Stars Captain Roars

Harambee Stars CHAN squad captain Dennis Odhiambo says they will beat Tanzania and progress to the second round of the qualifiers when the two teams meet again at Moi International Sports Center Kasarani on Sunday.

The two teams played to a barren draw in Tanzania over the weekend and face-off again on Sunday with both keen on progressing to the next round.

Speaking ahead of the match, Odhiambo said it was important that the team didn’t concede in Dar Es Salaam and is adamant that the team will score goals and go to the next round.

“It was important not to concede because a solid defence is key. Now at home, we will look to score goals and finish the job. I am convinced that we will progress to the next round,” said the veteran midfielder stated.

He further admitted that the match against Taifa Stars in Tanzania was a difficult one but is happy that the team managed to contain them.

“It was difficult in Dar es Salaam. They came with full force, especially in the first half, but we managed the match well. It’s a good thing we did not concede a goal in Tanzania. We made a lot of mistakes as a team and, to get goals and a better result, we will need to plan well,” he added.
