West Ham Join Race To Sign Ivorian Defender Eric Bailly

English Premier League side West Ham  have reportedly joined the race to sign Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.

TalkSports reported has reported the Ivory Coast international is the player West Ham want to sign as the Red Devils are willing to sanction a permanent deal.

Fulham, Sevilla, AC Milan and Roma had focused on loan deals but the Hammers willing to sign the 28-year-old on a permanent deal.

“There are a couple of names in the frame, one of them is Kehrer,” TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook said.

“And they are among a cluster of clubs monitoring Eric Bailly. He was in the stands as United lost to Brighton.

“He is wanted by Sevilla and Jose Mourinho at Roma has expressed an interest.”

Bailly joined Manchester United in 2016 for a reported 40million pounds from Villarreal on a two-year deal.

He renewed his contract at the Red Devils in April last year after agreeing terms that are set to run until June 2024.

The defender has made 113 appearances over six seasons at Old Trafford but has struggled with injuries and regular game time throughout his spell at the club.

Bailly was part of the Africa Cup of Nations-winning Ivory Coast team in 2015 and arrived for a reported fee of around £30 million.
