Wilfried Bony has been dropped from the Ivory Coast squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Russia and Senegal later this month.
On loan from Manchester City, the Stoke City player capped 51 times, was together with Bournemouth’s Max Gradel, axed from the 23-man squad by Ibrahim Kamara.
The Caretaker coach’s actions may have been influenced by the strikers’ lack of playing time in the premier league.
Bony has made just 11 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and is yet to play for the Potters since December 27.
The Ivorian has not made the bench in the last four games and has admitted to being frustrated by the situation.

He told the Daily Mirror.
“I wonder sometimes why I came here,” Bony added.
Ivory Coast will play against Russia on March 24 in Krasnodar and Senegal in Paris on 27th.
