A bus arranged to ferry fans of Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca to the stadium was stoned.

Yesterday’s Total CAF Champions League turned ugly in Tunisia after Wydad’s players walked off the pitch in protest over a disallowed goal by Gambian referee Papa Bakary Gassama as Tunisia’s Esperance led by 1-0.

Water bottles were thrown onto the pitch as the debate over whether the game should be discontinued raged as Wydad refused to play.

However, reports monitored in Rabat says a bus carrying Moroccan fans was stoned immediately after it touched down at the Olympic stadium in the morning of Friday before the start of the game later that day.

Putting up a picture with a shattered window, Moroccan-Arabic publication Assabah says the bus was carrying Wydad fans when it got pelted at but said no injuries were sustained.
