Yanga Name New Head Coach

Tanzania Premier League giants Yanga have ended speculations regarding their new head coach by naming Zlatko Krmpotic as their new head coach.

Tanzania Premier League giants Yanga have ended speculations by naming Zlatko Krmpotic as their new head coach.

The former Polokwane manager was confirmed by the Jangwani giants ahead of the new Vodacom Mainland Premier League season.

“Welcome to Yanga Zlatko Krmpotic,” the club statement posted on social media pages revealed.

Krmpotic, the CAF 2015 Champions league winner, takes over from Luc Eymael who was shown the door earlier this month over racist comments.

The Serbian gaffer, Krmpotic, is reported to have signed a two-year- deal and is set to report to work next week Thursday where he will be officially unveiled and introduced to the players and other members of the technical bench.

His contract has a buyout clause in the event that he wants to leave and also a one year option for extension of the contract.

Frenchman Hubert Velud was linked with the job but the club failed to meet his salary demands and other personal terms.

Krmpotic has a wealth of African football experience to draw from, having previously coached the likes of TP Mazembe, APR and Zesco United.
