Egypt Premier League giants Zamalek are eyeing the signature of Primeiro de Agosto winger Ary Papel, Ducor Sports can reveal.

The 26-year-old has been in red-hot form in the Angola Girobola Championship and has attracted interest from various clubs in Africa, including Raja Casablanca.

Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron has already confirmed that the club is monitoring the winger after he made a good impression in the African Champions League, netting twice in 11 games.

This is according to an official who spoke to Ducor Sports on condition of anonymity on Tuesday afternoon.

The official said White Knights have expressed interest in acquiring Papel whose contract is reportedly around $2.2 million.

“There is an interest in the player from big clubs. The boy is worth any amount that D’Agosto will want for him,” the official said.

“I hope the Angola coach is watching the boy and is aware of what he has been doing for his club. The boy is the next big thing in African football.”

Papel made name in Angola during his stay at Sporting Lisbon of Portugal where he stayed between January 2017 and July 2018.

Left-footed, with an eye for goal, as well as an unkempt mane of hair, he has been likened to former  Palncas Negras star, Manucho.
