Zambia’s big dogs Power Dynamos have officially pulled out of the 2017 Barclays Cup, two weeks before facing rivals Zanaco in the quarter finals.
Power Secretary Ricky Mamfunda confirmed the side had written to the Football Association of Zambia about their decision to withdraw from this season’s Barclays Cup despite reaching the Quarter Finals.
“Yes, I can confirm we have pulled out of this year’s Barclays Cup. We have written to FAZ on our decision to withdraw. Any further details should be gotten from FAZ.” Mamfunda confirmed in an interview yesterday.
Mamfunda who went ahead to clarify that Dynamos are not intimidated by Zanaco, couldn’t explain the reasons for their withdraw, referring the reporters to FAZ for any further details.
