Ahead of their clash with Primeiro de Agosto in a CAF Champions League opening Group A match, Zesco United’s goalkeeper Jacob Banda is optimistic they will emerge with three points from the clash.
The Zambian Super League champions will be seeking for a strong start in the group that also has five-time African champions TP Mazembe and Egyptian giants Zamalek.
“Playing away from home is always hard. However a victory in Angola will certainly motivate the whole team,” Kalaba said.
The weather in Luanda is forecast to be partly cloudy, with a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 26 degrees Celsius.
Neither rain nor mist is expected on Saturday, meaning that Zesco will be operating under optimum weather.
This will be Zesco’s third visit to Luanda and are still without a win thereafter Agosto and CRD Libolo beat them at the same stage 2-1 and 3-0 in the 2018 CAF Champions League and 2017 CAF Confederation Cup respectively.
The Team Ya Zico are unbeaten in both the domestic league and continental action this season with a competitive haul of 12 wins and two draws.
Meanwhile, also in action this Saturday are Zesco’s matchday two Group A guests on December 7, TP Mazembe of DR Congo who host fellow five-time champions Zamalek in Lubumbashi.
